Wow, it has already been a month since I came to the US of A and the time seems to just fly by! In one month I have accomplished to:
Spent 1 month on my awesome intership at Your-Majesty
Got myself and my three comr ades an awesome flat in central Williamsburg.
Found myself a brunchplace just around the corner, Simple Café at Bedford Avenue.
Got offered sexual favors from a homeless woman for 20 dollars.
Aw screw it, this was a lousy way to explain all the stuff I´ve been through so far
The internship as earlier mentioned is doing great. Everyone at Your-Majesty are so friendly and welcoming and both me and Kristofer got included in a real, big, project from day one! No doing banners for two months before the real stuff! So our first project is launchin early next year!
I am currently working as a flash developer and so far I must say I feel pretty comfortable in that role, I’m learning a ton of stuff each day and it’s really intresting to be a part of a big project. I hope to get the chance to try out my producing skills soon as well!
As mentioned we get along really good with the other people at the agency. The company holiday party was a couple of days ago and we went to one of the oldest resturants in New York, WEARING 17CENTURE WIGS! Haha, but it was so much fun and was a night to remember! Our two creative directors Jens and James together with our AD Christian had a kind of intresting drinking song that I couldn’t keep away from doing a little movie of
When I’m not working I try to see stuff. But I haven’t even seen the statue of liberty yet There is so much to explore in New York and I’m currently obsessed of secondhand shopping in Brooklyn! Everything is so cheap and awesome!
Shirt and Black leather shoes on Vice Versa second hand store in Williamsburg: $21 !! Bowtie, American Apparel: $20
Blue pinstriped shirt: $3 at Thrift Store Seconhand, Williamsburg. Brown leather bag (perfect for my macbook): $15 at Vice Versa! “Köprus”
Speaking of clothes I’m happy to announce that mine, Samuels, Haralds and Marcs final project, Tjallamalla online shop, has been brought to life is now live! We have worked so hard on it and it feels just great to finally have it live. My role in the project has been as the project manager and head developer, alot of hard work, but it was definitely worth it.
As a PM/Producer I have learned a lot about the client journey, working with large scale real projects and working as a team.
As a developer I´ve experienced my first real big project, working with other developers and a whole new language, called Liqiud.
I learned a ton of other stuff, like the importance of making products look good, and alot about how the e-commerce business works as well.
So… if anyone want help with hooking up a great looking online store, I’m your man!
I suck at updating I know… But I’m so busy right now. Prepping all papers for New York, working on a big freelance project and visiting all people dear to me before I leave Europe.

The last couple of months I have been working on a portfolio and photoCMS for the amazing photographer Daniel Blom. Yesterday it went live, and it feels great! Too easy to do nice looking sites when working with pictures like Daniel’s.
Me and Daniel discussed the issue with making club flyers. No one ever reads them, they just take it, and then discards it at the first trashcan that passes their way.
We wanted flyers for our upcoming club event. And since the club is called the SWEDISH BAKERY, why not make the flyers eatable?
The whole thing costed less than $10 and we are pretty satisfied with the results, they were out in notime!
We also got one of the finalists to “Baker of the year 2009″ to come and bake the upcoming SWEDISH BAKERY logo LIVE at the club!
Finally the day of the summer holiday has arrived! A time for sun, beach and hanging out with the gang.
OR…
Freelance work, updating the portfolio and hunting for Internships which is pretty much what I’m gonna spend my summer with.
The last days of the Hyper Island Recruitment process
were very tough but we pulled through and I am pretty satisfied with the outcome of it! Learned a ton about recruitment processes and also got a better insight about Hyper Island operates and works!
To talk a little bit about the freelance works
